Plains Township, Luzerne County - From your local election headquarters, there is controversy on the congressional campaign.

A political slugfest is taking shape in one congressional race.

A two-decade-long incumbent Democrat, Congressman Tim Holden and his opponent, Matt Cartwright, have traded barbs in recent weeks.

20-year incumbent Democrat Congressman Tim Holden and his opponent, Matt Cartwright, have traded barbs in recent weeks.

In one of the latest ads in this primary race, Tim Holden accuses Matt Cartwright of bribing a judge in the kids for cash scandal.

Cartwright claims that crosses the line.

Holden did not return our requests for comment.

Sources say there were efforts by the Holden camp to pull the ads.

Cartwright has scheduled a news conference Friday morning at the Luzerne County Courthouse in Wilkes-Barre, to respond to the Holden campaign ad.
