Hazleton, Luzerne County- The last five days heading into the Pennsylvania Primary are sure to be jam packed with campaign ads, many of them with a negative tone.
Political experts say it is the nature of the beast. Eyewitness News hit the streets Thursday to get a sense of what voters are thinking about the election and negative campaign ads.
Eric Smith of Freeland said, "I just think they are so wrong. Why do candidates attack their opponent rather than tell us what they will do for us?"
Cheryl Piacente from Hazleton said, "I think it is frustrating because we don't need to hear all of the supposed bad things their opponent has done many times those things are half-truths or downright lies. Just tell us what you are going to do for the people."
90 year old Vincent Kaczur of Hazleton has been voting for 70 years and told Eyewitness News, "The politicians both Democrats and Republicans are bad. We already know that but tell us what plan you have to help the area to help us."
