If approved, the referendum would issue nearly two million dollars in bonds for a new library to serve communities like Hanna City, Farmington, and Trivoli.
A new library has been voted down in the past, but officials have spent the past year listening to voters' concerns and have scaled back on the plans to save money.
"The current building is more than 100 years old and it has served us very well for many years, but the last twenty have been a real struggle," says Linda Schultz, board president for the Farmington Area Library District.
The library will hold an open house Wednesday, March 14th from 3:00-7:00pm for anyone with questions about the new building or the referendum.
