Hit and Run Leads to Police Chase

Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County- A Virginia man faces multiple felony charges after a hit and run crash in Wilkes-Barre leads to a police pursuit.
        Police say 24-year-old James Rogers of Virginia sideswiped a car in traffic Saturday night in the 400 block of North Penn Avenue.
         An officer quickly pursued Rogers when the accused lost control at South Penn and Dana, jumped a curb and struck a fence.
         Rogers was thrown from the car then tried to run before police tazed him to subdue him.
         Police recovered cocaine, cash and a loaded gun at the scene.
         Rogers was arraigned in the hospital where he remains.
