WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - After winning three straight games by a score of 2-1, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins were on the other side of the ledger, falling to the Norfolk Admirals at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza.

The Penguins had the chance to break a scoreless tie with a power play in the second period and did so with Tom Kostopoulos' 99th goal in a Wilkes-Barre/Scranton uniform. After goaltender Jeff Zatkoff rushed out his net to nullify a shorthanded rush by Norfolk, the puck came up ice for a Chad Kolarik shot that was knocked down in front, but tapped home by Kostopoulos at 7:33.

With just 50.2 seconds remaining in the period, the Admirals responded with the man-advantage to even the score at 1-1. Brandon McMillan had his initial shot from the high slot blocked, but quickly gathered the loose puck and fired it into the net.

Norfolk was able to pick-up the game-winning goal with 6:20 left in regulation on a turnover by the Penguins behind their own net. Dan Sexton intercepted the puck in the near corner of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton zone and sent a backhand pass toward the crease that was tipped inside the far post by Josh Brittain.

Admirals goaltender Frederik Andersen held the fort the rest of the way, making 26 saves on the night. Zatkoff took the loss for the Penguins with 31 saves on 33 shots.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins celebrate their first Welsh Heritage Night on Friday, March 1 as they host the Hershey Bears at 7:05PM.

Individual seats for all Penguins' home games are available at the Mohegan Sun Arena box office, online at www.ticketmaster.com, and by calling 800-745-3000.
