Lackawanna County EMA Director Out

By: Eric Deabill
Updated: December 13, 2012

Scranton, Lackawanna County - A Lackawanna County spokesman confirms to Eyewitness News that a long-time, well-known county employee is no longer employed by the county.

Bob Flanagan has been the face of the Lackawanna County Emergency Management Agency for years, leading the county through everything from floods to Hurricane Sandy.

County officials say due to a "restructuring," Flanagan is no longer an employee. They declined to comment further citing personnel issues.

Lackawanna County leaders say the EMA agency is appropriately covered at this time.
