HERSHEY, Pa. - Two power play goals 61 seconds apart and 15 saves by Jeff Zatkoff led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 4-0 shutout win against the Hershey Bears at GIANT Center.

With Wilkes-Barre/Scranton working on their third power play of the game, Beau Bennett put the Penguins up, 1-0, at 4:28 of the second as he streaked down the near boards and threw a pass toward the Hershey net. The bouncing puck hit off the skate of a Bears' defenseman and slid between the legs of goaltender Braden Holtby. Benn Ferriero gathered his seventh power-play assist on the year.

The Penguins quickly hopped back on the man-advantage and needed just over a minute to strike as Simon Despres' wrist shot from the left point weaved its way through traffic and found the inside of the left post.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's penalty kill unit also got into the goal-scoring mix at 1:03 of the third. Ferriero scored the Penguins' first shorthanded goal of the year and his first of the season when he picked off a Tomas Kundratek pass and raced in for a breakaway. Holtby made the initial stop on the wrist shot, but the puck's momentum carried it across the goal line to give the Penguins a 3-0 cushion.

With 1:55 left in the contest, Warren Peters scored his second goal of the year to put the Penguins ahead by four.

Jeff Zatkoff picked up his seventh win of the season and third shutout, stopping 15 Bears' shots. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has won nine of its last 12 games.

The Penguins return to the Mohegan Sun Arena this Saturday, Nov. 24 at 7:05PM as they face the Toronto Marlies.
