HARRISBURG, PA - The Big 33 Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce the signing of a five-year agreement to pit Pennsylvania's best high school football players against prep all-stars from the state of Maryland. Starting with the 57th PNC Big 33 Football Classic on Saturday June 15, 2013, Pennsylvania and Maryland's gridiron greats will renew a rivalry last played in 1992.

Maryland will replace Ohio as the opponent for Pennsylvania's prep all-stars, marking the ninth change in opponents during the Big 33's illustrious history, which has included national all-star teams, an all Pennsylvania East-West format, and all-star teams from Texas, Ohio, and Maryland. Maryland, long a football powerhouse, boasted a record 76 Division 1 Scholarship Players in 2012 including ten 4-star and twenty-six 3-star recruits with the Class of 2013.

"The Big 33 is happy to welcome back Maryland to the PNC Big 33 Football Classic," said Dave Trimbur, Executive Director of the Big 33 Scholarship Foundation. "The competition, as well as the proximity to Hershey, PA, will allow this to continue to be the premier High School Football all-star game in America."

Known as The Super Bowl of High School Football, the Big 33 has a sterling legacy of showcasing football's future stars. There has never been a Super Bowl played without a Big 33 Alumnus.
