Joe Maddon Announces Purchase of Building for Community Center

Hazleton, Luzerne County-Tampa Bay Rays Manager and Hazleton's own Joe Maddon announced the purchase of the former Most Precious Blood School building in Hazleton for Maddon's
Hazleton Integration Project (HIP) Community Center.
    Maddon was joined at a new conference in Hazleton by Yankee great Tino Martinez
     A number of events hosted by  Maddon for the community will be   held  beginning tomorrow in Hazleton.
 
   The upcoming HIP events in Hazleton from December 14-16  include: the Christmas Celebration with the Stars at Genetti's Best Western in Hazleton on December 14, Joe Maddon's Family Christmas featuring a variety of Hazleton's most talented young people at the Alice C. Wiltsie Performing Arts Center on December 15, and Thanksmas, a traditional ethnic meal served to economically disadvantaged citizens held at the Catholic Social Services Family Center Building on December 16.
