Penn State Hazleton to Host Thon Fundraiser

Hazleton, Luzerne County- Penn State Hazleton THON will host Vera Bradley bingo from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2 in the gymnasium at Penn State Hazleton. Numerous new Vera Bradley purses, duffels and bags which make great Christmas gifts will be awarded as prizes during the event.

The cost to play bingo is $20 per person in advance and $25 at the door. Advanced tickets may be obtained in two ways: by visiting the Office of Student Affairs, 105 Charles T. Butler Teaching and Learning Resource Center, or by contacting the Office of Student Affairs at 450-3077 or amh254@psu.edu to make a reservation. The deadline for advanced ticket sales and reservations is Friday, Nov. 30.

All proceeds benefit the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, THON for short, the world's largest student run philanthropy, raising money for the families of children with pediatric cancer at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital. Last year, Penn State students raised more than $10.6 million.
