Red Cross Shelters Opening Monday

Luzerne County -- The American Red Cross is opening three shelters beginning at noon Monday. You can head to:

- Dallas Middle 
School, Conyngham Avenue, Dallas, PA
- GAR High School, 250 South Grant Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA
- L
uzerne County Community College, 1333 S. Prospect Street, Nanticoke, PA

The Red Cross will provide cots and blankets, meals and emotional care. Anyone evacuating to a Red Cross shelter should bring essential items for each member of the family:

- Presciptions and emergency medications
- Foods that meet unusual dietary requirements
- Identification and important personal documents
- Extra clothing, pillows, blankets, and personal hygiene products
- Supplies for children and infants, including formula, diapers, and toys
- Special items for family members who are elderly or disabled
