Bernie's Run Held in Wilkes-Barre

Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County-Many people started this Fourth of July on the run.
Hundreds took to the street for the 29th annual Bernie's Memorial run in Wilkes-Barre.
The three-mile run and fun walk were started nearly three decades ago by long-time Y-M-C-A employee Bernie Hargadon, He was an avid runner who served as both youth director and executive director of the "Y.". The run helps benefit YMCA programs. More than 600 runners and walkers took part in today's event.
