A high-profile quarterback recruit Christian Hackenberg committed to play football next season for Penn State University.  The 6'4' quarterback received offers from Alabama, Stanford, Florida, Virginia, and Washington.  Christian is the first player to make an oral committment to Penn State for the 2013 recruiting class.  If Hackenberg sounds familiar his father was standout Erick Hackenberg who was a star quarterback at Marian Catholic.  He played in the 1988 BIG 33 Game and he threw a touchdown to Meyer's Rocket Ismail.  Hackenburg went to Virginia on a scholarship but he later transferred back home to Susquehanna were he threw for over 3,000 yards.
