During cross examination, Joe Amendola questioned whether Mr. McQueary was present Friday, December 16 at the Curley-Schultz hearing. McQueary replied saying, "I was not in that courthouse to my knowledge."
What McQueary does remember is a phone call from February 2001 in which his son, Mike McQueary, tells him, "I saw Coach Sandusky in the shower with a young boy."
John McQueary continued his testimony, saying when Mike went back to put a pair of shoes in his locker, he heard some noises and went to investigate. That's where John McQueary says Mike McQueary heard slapping and a thrusting sound and could see Sandusky and a young boy, eye to eye. Sandusky was allegedly positioned behind the young man.
John McQueary then stated that he tried to get a more descriptive understanding of what Mike McQueary was allegedly watching. He says they determined that it's imperative that Mike report to Joe Paterno. "I think he met with Schultz and Curley," McQueary said.
