HARRISBURG, DAUPHIN COUNTY - Last week, after failing to have a delay granted from the Pennsylvania Superior Court, the lawyers for Jerry Sandusky requrested a delay from the State Supreme Court.
As of Monday, the Emergency Application for Extraordinary Relief was denied, as was the motion for stay was denied.
Without either of these petitions granted, jury selection will begin Tuesday. The trial is set to start on June 11, 2012. The only delay possible at this point is if the jury has not been fully selected.
