Bloomsburg, Columbia County - Many business owners in Columbia County are hurting.  The Bloomsburg fair was canceled because of the flood and the annual event is a major boost to their business.  Now, they're doing anything and everything just to stay above water.

Chris Leiby says his business, Sunrise Pools, took a major nose dive when the Bloomsburg Fair was cancelled.  "Well, without the fair we're down about 80 percent because we do so well there.  We have the biggest display and we sell a lot of tubs there."

In fact Leiby says he sells about 50 hot tubs at the week long fair, 50 tubs we hopes he can now find a way to sell.  So to boost business Leiby brought the fair to Sunrise Pools, "We got served lemons, we're going to make lemonade."

Several vendors are set up in his parking lot and each weekend he has live entertainment, hoping that passer buyers will stop enjoy the makeshift fair and drop a few thousand dollars on a hot tub.

And that's just one story.  Paul Reichert, Presidents of the Bloomsburg Fair says the town lost several hundred thousand dollars in tax revenue brought in by the fair but the impact is even worse on the local business owners.

Reichert says, "I assume or estimate that probably 45-50 million dollars is what we generate during this week and this year, it's gone."

Reichert says next weekend they are still holding the 4-H auction and are hoping that draws in a few extra people to town.
