Scotrun, Monroe County - The Desantis family, of Long Island, got in the Christmas spirit in a Christmas house. It's a life size gingerbread house inside the Great Wolf Lodge in Scotrun. "I think it's awesome," smiled Angelina Desantis.

The house is packed with sweets. The walls are painted with three hundred pounds of powdered sugar. More than twenty pounds of chocolate coat the door and window frames. There are thirty pounds of gingerbread details.

Thomas Desantis said, "It smells like you're in the Willy Wonka factory."  The family donated $20 to eat in the house. The money will go to the Big Brothers/Big Sisters charity. "There are a lot of people out there that don't have good role models and it is important," said Thomas.

Knowing the project would help kids, some Great Wolf cooks donated extra time to build the house just right."To see the expression on the kids face really just pays off for us," smiled a cook named Alicia.

Kids leave the house with smiles on their faces, smiles that get even bigger with another surprise dose of Christmas magic. It snows inside of  Great Wolf. It's an indoor winter wonderland.
