"Ya know, i work for a major communications company, so it's part of the deal ya know, it's like people rely on us especially during times of storms and what not." said Jimmy Moloney, WIndstream Communications
So people like Jimmy Maloney are on the prowl for anything hazardous.... like this down tree shutting down beaver run road for the night in Hughesville.
"Well to be honest with you the road crew is going to have to clean it up, PennDOT will probably be out in the morning and once they get that done we'll come back and asses the damage to the cables." said Moloney
"The high winds is a concern because it could bring down trees, power lines and that could shut down roads, so we'll have our crews monitoring very closely the situation and we will deal with it as needed." said Rick Mason of PennDOT
As the wind continues to pick up... PennDOT only expects more damage come Tuesday morning.
"Be safe, be smart, be safe." said Moloney
But the worsening conditions won't stop people like Moloney from doing the best they can to keep people connected.
"Cell phones don't work up here, reliably anyway" Moloney added
