Scranton, Lackawanna County - The results of a survey from the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce shows that a majority of businesses oppose the city's commuter tax.

For the last week, the chamber has been conducting an online survey.

The results were announced Tuesday morning.

The survey showed that 84-percent of all businesses responding oppose the commuter tax. A total of 473 of the 713 businesses that responded were located in Scranton.

Business owners said it would be difficult for them to recruit employees and more expensive to keep them.
