The world media has once again descended upon tiny Bellefonte in Centre County on the eve of the sentencing of  convicted child molester Jerry Sandusky. On Tuesday morning the former Penn State Assistant coach will learn his fate after being convicted on 45 of 48 charges last June.

A jury believed he preyed on young men for more than a decade, children who trusted Sandusky, kids who felt he was there to help them.  Many of them were part of Sandsuky's Second Mile charity that was supposed to help disadvantaged children.

Just several miles away from Bellefonte is the campus of Penn State, a campus that was rocked  to its very foundation with this Sandusky Sex Scandal. For many here the sentencing on Tuesday will hopefully mean peace and closure for Nittany Nation.

"It's been a pretty depressing time period over past couple of months. I'm just hoping he's sentenced and put away for good and we can move on as a campus and become one again," said J.R. Gerhard, a Penn State student.

"I think in a way there will be a lot of emotion we'll finally be out of the way it won't necessarily be moving forward for everyone but a resolution for some," added Samantha Ostrowski, a Penn State student.

Also at the sentencing will be victims' rights advocates who say the Sandusky case has made a difference for the silent victims out there.  "I think this case particularly for male victims made people feel a little safer to come forward than they may have before," said Kristen Houser of the PA Coalition Against Rape.
