Hazleton, Luzerne County---  Some say it is a sign of the times and it warns people wearing Hoodies they are not welcome in the respective business. A sign is posted on the front door of Groceries Plus in Hazle Township. Manager Michael Lagana said, "We are doing our best to deter criminals and protect out customers. We see what's happening around the area and the country and we are trying to do something to head off problems." Another sign is posted on the front door of Puff and Stuff cigarette store in West Hazleton. The clerk on duty would not comment on the sign. Customers of other  stores liked the idea of the signs. Louis Gabriel said, "Why would someone walk into any store hiding their face unless they are up to no good." West Hazleton Police Chief Brian Buglio is not convince the signs deter crime. He said, "If a person is intent on robbing a store and needs that cash he will do it no matter what. I think it is a god idea to try to be proactive as a business owner and I hope it makes a difference but I think the bad guys really don't care."
