Buddy Check with Kyla Campbell

The goal of Buddy Check is to educate women about breast cancer and encourage them to take control of their lives, being as aggressive with the disease as it is with its victims.

The key to beating breast cancer is early detection. The key to early detection is self-examination. Buddy Check brings women together with friends or family members. They pledge to call and remind one another once a month to do a self-examination.

When Buddy Check was created in the fall of 2001 our goal was to make it a regular part of the lives of thousands of women in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Many have heeded the call. Buddy Check works. Buddy Check saves lives. Tune in to WBRE every month on the 28th at 5pm to learn more about how you, or a woman you love, can be a part of it.
