Happy Valentine's Day. And if you're thinking, "Oh my gosh, I totally forgot to plan something," no worries 'cause we have a last-minute idea that will not only keep you out of the doghouse, it may score you big points. Now, here's what you need to do: you need to run to the store or you can search online for a romantic flick. (Remember: today is all about romance so skip the horror films) And for what to serve, well, just watch this, and it's easy. In a skillet, we mixed together some butter, brown sugar and some honey and we brought that to a boil, and we let that simmer for about 5 minutes. Just make sure you stir it frequently so it doesn't burn. Alright, we're going to take that off the heat. We're going to stir in a little bit of vanilla. Be careful (it's gonna be hot). We're going to pour that over some popcorn that we mixed with some nuts. And we're going to toss it gently. And for the popcorn, that can be store-bought or your favorite microwave variety. And once everything is coated, we spread that mixture (while it's still hot) on a couple of baking sheets, and we're just going to pop that into a warm oven for about an hour or so just to crisp up. And when we serve up a big bowl of this sweet and salty to-die-for popcorn, don't be surprised if you forget all about the movie. And if both of you just happen to reach for the same cluster of popcorn and your hands touch, all the more fun. Yes, our romantic recipe for "Caramel Nut Crunch Popcorn" is online as well as tips for how to make chocolate-dipped strawberries, to help keep you out of the doghouse. See, it's not too late to surprise someone with a few homemade treats that start and hopefully end with lots of, as we say around here ... "OOH IT'S SO GOOD!!"
