Snowstorm Aftermath

Honesdale, Wayne County- Plow after plow after plow. This is a common accessory for pickup trucks in Honesdale. Residents here are used to getting hit hard with snow, but say this late week storm wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. "Well it sounded like it was going to be the end of the world. It didn't turn out that way though. We only got four or five inches." Josh Wengler. For Ray Harrington, the more snow, the more money for his hardware business. He has several snow blowers in stock, but that's not what's selling. "Lots of shovels, lots of salt." says, Harrington. Residents here seem to be pretty happy with the clean-up effort. "The borough has been out all night. They have been keeping good on the roads. PennDOT has been out also, and they've been doing a great job." says, Mark Viglione. PennDOT driver Adrian Brown says his crew has been working around the clock keeping the roads clear. Their hard work has paid off. "Good to go. Everyone will be able to go 60 miles an hour and hopefully keep on the road." says, Brown. Cleaning up after a snowstorm may not be much fun, but those who enjoy the snow are having plenty of fun today. In Susquehanna County, dozens of snow mobile riders hit the trails. "The snow mobile trails are right down over here, down the hill. Since it snowed, everyone is probably out for their last ride for a while because it's going to rain so everyone's taking advantage of the snow." says Ray Harrington. Back in Honesdale, Grant and Dana Pratt are also enjoying the snow. They're buying new sleds and heading to the nearest hill. "I love it because we get to do all kinds of fun stuff like sled and throw snowballs at our brothers and sisters." says, Dana Pratt. "When we sled we go really fast, and you get snow on your face." says, Grant Prat.
