Woman Hit and Killed In Luzerne County

Jenkins Township, Luzerne County -- A woman is dead after being hit by a car Friday afternoon in Jenkins Township. Police say a car, driven by 78 year old Joan Heck, hit 65 year old Mary Catherine Petroziello of Dureya. The crash happened along Main Street in the Inkerman section of Jenkins Township, near Spadi Park. Petroziello was taken to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital where she later died. Police are still investigating the crash.
