The holiday party season is in full swing - and that means we're on the look out for new ideas to serve our gang - and today's dip fits not only holiday parties, it'll be perfect right through football season! And nothing, nothing, beats this old stand-by that's requested over and over - just watch! In a bowl, we combine some softened cream cheese, sour cream, and about a cup or so of shredded cheddar cheese along with some chopped garlic and some sliced up scallions - after giving that a good mix, we're gonna fold in a can of chopped artichoke hearts. (Now, make sure those are the kind in water, not the marinated ones.) Now comes the fun part, we cut the top off an unsliced loaf of pumpernickel, or we can use rye bread, and scoop out the insides, just leaving a bread bowl - and we'll save these bread cubes that we take out to serve with our dip. Okay, we fill the bread with our cheese mixture, we'll place the top back on and wrap the whole thing tightly in foil... and an hour or so before we want to serve this, we just bake it off - and when we put this out, piping hot right out of the oven, surrounded with chunks of torn up bread and some cut up veggies, this cheesy favorite will disappear super fast. Look, the recipe for "Cheesy Baked Party Dip" is online now, and it's just in time for New Year's! In fact, it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep a spare one warm in the oven, 'cause when it's this tasty, there's no stopping them from digging into the creamy and hearty... "OOH IT'S SO GOOD!!"
