You'd think by now that we'd have our holiday planning & prep down ... but for most of us ... we're up to our eyeballs with things to do... that's why this down-home southern-style favorite we're sharing today is so welcome - it's great for nibbling while we're ... well...tree trimming ... or it's an awesome appetizer for any party, be it at your house ... or as a bring-along! Look ... We've hard boiled half a dozen eggs, peeled them, and cut 'em in half length-wise, then scooped out the yolks ... (and by the way ... if you're not sure how to hard-boil an egg, we've got the easy tips for that online). This way, your yolks will stay nice and yellow. Okay, now we combine those mashed egg yolks with some mayonnaise, a little bit of mustard, some sweet pickle relish...oh, just make sure you drain the pickle relish real well... Give that all a good mix and what we're going to do is spoon that back into each egg half ... Give 'em a sprinkle of paprika for a splash of color, or how about right before serving them ... let's go "over the top" and fancy 'em up with some warm chopped bacon ... And sure we can eat 'em just as is, but we think they're even better if we chill them up a bit! Either way ... when we put out a platter of this all-American southern-style finger food ... watch out ... 'cause there's gonna be a rush to grab 'em! The recipe and the tips for "Good Ol' Southern Deviled Eggs" is online now, just waiting for you to take advantage of one of the most down-home holiday appetizers ever! I mean they're easy, they look as good as they taste ... and there are literally dozens of reasons that we'll be hearing ... well ... as Mr. Food would say ... "OOH IT'S SO GOOD!!"
