East Stroudsburg, Monroe County-
Anna Foreman of Greentown is grateful she could lend a helping hand to the Salvation Army
"It makes me feel really, really good that I did something today by helping giving them some donations for their Thanksgiving Dinner."

At first the Salvation Army worried if there was enough to feed the expected crowd.
But employees at Pocono Medical Center heard about the need - and started a collection.

"The departments worked together and we actually came up with 120 of our gift baskets with trimmings for the whole holiday meal."  said Debbie Moore, a Pocono Medical Center Employee

They were thankful they could help.

And the Salvation Army was thankful for the help. Major James Gingrich said it's not just about filling their stomachs. It's about feeding their souls.

"We have a chance to just pause and to remember that in spite of all that we still have a lot to be grateful for. We are still a very blessed people" Said Major Gingrich.
The Salvation Army could still use more donations. It is preparing for its Christmas donations next month.
You can drop off gifts at the office in East Stroudsburg.
