It's time to start thinking of what's going to make this year's Thanksgiving feast a bit different than last years. I'm not saying to skip the turkey or mashed potatoes, but how about jazzing up the cranberry sauce? There's nothing wrong with serving it right from the can, but, it's Thanksgiving! Watch! For a basic cooked cranberry sauce, all we need do is place our cranberries in a pot with some water and sugar and let it simmer until tender... takes minutes! Well maybe spark it up with some chopped apples or berries or add a spicy kick from chopped jalapenos - yes! It's a wow! Really pressed for time? Add a homey touch to canned whole berry cranberry sauce by mixing in a bit of orange preserves or some chopped pecans; they'll never even know it wasn't homemade! And for an easy cranberry relish without even turning on a burner, simply chop some fresh cranberries in a food processor with some sugar, fresh oranges and a few nuts; it's fresh at its best! But this year I'm shaking things up by serving a chilled cranberry mold that's a show stopper! It's a so easy throw together that we chill up and cut into squares so everybody gets their own portion of chunky, tangy cranberry relish! It looks and tastes holiday special! Look, the recipe for "Cranberry Relish Squares" is online now, along with some bonus relish recipes for you, so that you can pick your favorites, you're gonna be on the receiving end of lots of holiday thanks, for all of the "OOH IT'S SO GOOD!! "
