Mr. Food: with all the holiday entertaining coming up, we're gonna need a few really incredible dessert recipes to keep on hand - so I asked Howard who heads up our test kitchen to share a recipe from our new dessert cookbook - "Sinful Sweets and Tasty Treats " And thank you, it's been getting those rave reviews, and rave results! Howard: absolutely, and ya know, we had a blast we had making this book! And a recipe that would be perfect for this time of year coming up is the pumpkin roll - Mr. Food: oh what an easy choice that is, great! So far, all we did was make a basic cake batter except we added some canned pumpkin puree and a touch of pumpkin pie spice to it, And we baked it off... like this - and while it was still warm, we rolled it up in a clean dish towel, and that's really the secret to really any jelly roll or rolled up cake, Mr. Food: after it cools, we'll unroll it and fill it Howard: It's that easy! Actually over here patty is filling one with a simple homemade cream cheese frosting ... before rolling it up again - ya see it won't crack since we rolled it up before... When it was still warm - Mr. Food: When we top this with a bit of powdered sugar... we look like a fancy pastry chef, even though it's so easy...ya know, you know it's like a pinwheel of flavor!
