Mr. Food: Ya know here in the Test Kitchen we've been experimenting with recipes that'll have us and our kids cleaning their plates! And we know that's no easy task! Howard: But one thing we've learned is everyone loves a hearty casserole for an easy weeknight dinner! There's nothing easier! Mr. Food: Or as some parts of the country know it, a hotdish! Howard: So we came up with one that's really easy and uses a lot of our market shortcuts... Mr. Food: Sure, with so many convenient options available in the refrigerated and frozen aisles, getting dinner on the table quickly and keeping us off the drive-thru line is faster than ever...it's like we have a helper in the kitchen! Howard: What we did was simply combine a can of cheese soup, sour cream, milk and shredded cheddar, and to that we added some frozen cooked chicken breast strips, you know, we thaw and cut up a bit, along with some frozen broccoli. Mr. Food: You see, using frozen means we don't have to pre-cook our chicken or clean or par-cook our broccoli, Howard: That's the best part! We just mix it all together and spoon it into a baking dish, and we top it with some refrigerated shredded hash browns...before baking it off, and in no time at all, everyone's digging into the crispy potato crust that leads to the cheesy chicken filling! Mr. Food: Oh boy oh boy! Look, the recipe for "Chicken & Broccoli Hotdish" is online now, for a hearty all-in one meal our kids and us-young-at-heart kids will love every time! Howard: It's really unbelievable how easy this was! Mr. Food: Ya, thanks to our market short cuts, cool foods for kids leaves only clean plates and lots of "OOH IT'S SO GOOD!! "
