Newsmakers To Air Sunday April 4 Topic Victims Resource Center

The Victims Resource Center will be the topic of this Sunday's Newsmakers on WBRE-TV.

 

The program is hosted by

Senior Producer Jayne Ann Bugda and

Lead I-Team Investigator Andy Mehalshick.

   

 

They will have as their guests, Janet MacKay, Executive Director of Victims Resource Center and Pat Rushton, who is the VRC's Outreach and Education Coordinator.

    They will talk about the history of Victims Resource Center and the many program they offer victims and their families and the community. Victims Resource Center has helped many people make the transition from victim to survivor.  MacKay and Rushton will also talk about upcoming events for April which is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

 

   Newsmakers will air this Sunday, April 4 at 5:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on WBRE TV. It will rebroadcast April 11 at 5:30 a.m. on WBRE TV.  The program will also air on WYOU TV April 10th at 6 a.m.

The Victims Resource Center will hold its annual Crime Victims Rights March and Rally Wednesday, April 21, 2010.

March will begin at 6 p.m. at Wilkes University Henry Student Center and King's College Sheehy-Farmer Campus Center. March will end with a rally at Victims Resource Center, 71 N. Franklin St. Kirby Health Center
