Updated: February 11, 2013
Williamsport, Lycoming County- A minor fire was discovered in a restroom at the Williamsport Area High School at about 10:50 Monday morning. The fire was contained to the restroom and was quickly extinguished.

There were no injuries reported, and students were safely relocated to the auditorium. Air-handling equipment cleared smoke from the building, and prevented any smoke from permeating the auditorium.

The fire company cleared the school to resume its regular schedule following lunch at 1 p.m. All afternoon and evening activities will go on as scheduled.

Extent of the damage is under review, and the school district is investigating the incident.  The Williamsport Fire Department is also investigating.
