Elderly Woman Badly Injured, Police Investigate

Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County - A woman was found badly injured insider her home in Wilkes-Barre Saturday afternoon. Detectives say the woman was unconscious in her bedroom of her home at 247 Horton Street. Sources close to the case say that investigators are looking into the possibility that the woman may have been assaulted by a family member. She is being treated at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
