Mr. Food: Cabbage and Pasta Dec 10, 2012

The test kitchen team and I have been getting a load of emails and Facebook requests for recipes with cabbage- And really...we're not surprised, because cabbage is so versatile - it's packed with a load of flavor... and has that crunch-factor we all like... plus with its healthy benefits, we can't go wrong...and today's recipe is gonna fit these busy days leading up to the holiday, 'cause it cooks up quick as a wink! Just watch! Over here we sauted a couple of chopped onions along with some cabbage that we chunked up (and that just takes a couple of minutes) and as we saut it, the chunks of cabbage will just fall apart. Now, we add in some cooked bow-tie pasta, a combination of salt, pepper, garlic powder (and that's what gives this dish its big flavor) and after that heats through, we're good to go! And, of course, we can substitute our favorite pasta if we'd like - even experiment with a different seasoning... in any way at all. When we serve this up with our main dish favorites...are we ever in for a treat! Here, we teamed it up with old-fashioned grilled kielbasa! Holy camoley...cabbage lovers are gonna come running!
