Black Friday Winds Down

Dickson City, Lackawanna County- The biggest shopping day of the year is slowly winding down.

Shops at the Viewmont Mall saw quite a crowd, as shoppers young and old looked for the best bargain.  Santa Claus says "it's been fairly steady, very few times that there is nobody through here."  While he's says ho-ho-ho, retailers are saying bring on the dough as another Black Friday is in the books.

"I caved for the sales.  She wanted to come out. She wanted to get some for clothes and look for some gifts," says Gary Hrobuchak of Moscow.  He says his 9-year-old daughter Alyssa caught the Black Friday Fever, so they braved the crowds.  Alyssa says she wanted to go out "because there is a lot of clothes on sale and stuff."

Those same crowds were the reason many people waited until later in the day to head out for a bargain.  Rich Wrobleski of Mount Cobb says it's not worth "getting pushed around and shoved, there is no reason for it. The stuff is still going to be in the stores and the price is going to stay the same all day."

Meanwhile, Private First Class James Skelton of Carbondale says "they weren't so bad last year I think it's worse this year."

No matter what time of day it was everybody got what they were looking for.  From here on out the mall schedule will vary depending on how close it is to the holidays, but the deals are sure to continue.
