New York, New York - You see him everyday right here on WBRE. Now we're taking you behind the scenes of the Dr. Oz show.

We spent the day with one of America's favorite docs. We watched as he rehearsed before the show. And he shared where he finds the intriguing medical facts

"We have a whole medical research unit here at the show. They sit and plow through incredible amounts of information," said Dr. Mehmet Oz.

His team is busy behind the camera, as he demonstrates the findings. "I'm very proud of the team we have here... the animations are carefully thought through," he said.

I had the chance to chat with him about how he juggles working at New York's Presbyterian Hospital and educating the country on healthy habits. "I love medicine I would never leave it- it really is my primary calling. We tape the show here in the studio. Thursdays I go to the hospital, nobody bothers me. I teach to residents we have rounds," he explained.

Fifteen minutes until show time, and the audience fills the studio. "Love Dr. OZ," said Karen Hanna from Allentown. She is one of many people who packed the studio looking for some tips on how to live a healthier life.

"He's sincere, honest and I think everything he talks about he researches and does it well," said Lenore Costantino of Staten Island.

Hearing that is why he works so hard.

"It warms the cockles of my heart. I am passionate about the program I love the ability to share info with a lot of people at once," Dr. Oz said.

The Dr. Oz Show airs weekdays at 3 p.m. on WBRE.
