Teen Rescued After Fall

Edwardsville, Luzerne County - A 17-year-old is in the hospital after falling from a dike in Luzerne County.

A rope rescue crew saved him at about 5:30 Saturday evening. Witnesses say he tumbled head first about 30 feet from the dike in Edwardsville.

Rescuers called in a life flight helicopter.

The boy had a gash on his head and appeared to have a broken arm.

Officials have not released his name.
