Tunkhannock Township, Monroe County- Michael Rhubart was picked up by a small army of state police troopers at a home in Nanticoke, Luzerne County early Wednesday before being brought to the state police barracks at Fern Ridge, Monroe County.

Rhubart, a 28 year old married father of two children, was charged in the death of Jubar Hughes. Police say Rhubart admitted to shooting Hughes with a 12 gauge shotgun on Saturday. Arrest papers say Rhubart then buried Hughes' remains in a shallow grave in Kidder Township, Carbon County.

Rhubart is in prison without bail. He'll be in court again next Friday for a preliminary hearing.

This reporter was spit on while attempting to ask Rhubart if he had any comment on the charges.
