Hanover Township, Luzerne County -- The I-Team was there as Wilkes-Barre and Hanover Township Police as well as Luzerne County detectives looked over a red Pontiac Sedan. It resembles a car that was seen fleeing the scene of the deadly hit and run last Friday in Wilkes-Barre that killed 5 year old Kevin Miller. That car was captured on surveillance cameras.  But the car being checked out today was parked in Hanover Township.

Police got a tip from a person who thought it might be the car they have been looking for. After looking over the Pontiac, they interviewed its owner in a nearby apartment. After about an hour police cleared the owner of any possible connection.

We spoke to the man, who did not want to appear on camera. He said he understands why police were there, but says the car is rarely ever used and he is in ill health and rarely drives at all. The car owner says, "I'm not allowed to drive at night my kids and wife won't let me drive at night, I do in the daytime. I go to the bank and doctor that about it."

The commotion had neighbors on edge but they all were aware of the hit and run probe. John Jendrzejewski says, "It's nice to see the police keeping up with it..it was horrible thing to happen ironically the grandmother is a cousin of ours." Fellow neighbor Dawn Loberg references another hit and run case in Wilkes-Barre in which a young woman was killed, "Hey if they go for every possible lead, go for it, you know eventually apparently if they put enough pressure on like the last owner he turned himself in."

District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis insists that every tip is being checked out, "even if they think it's the most minor fact that they have that may lead to something major in the investigation."
