A Black Friday Bash

Just like the sides on
a thanksgiving table, Black Friday shoppers have all sorts of bargains to
choose from. Target Store Team Leader Nicholas
Gonzalez says "always the tvs and electronics anything that is going to
draw them in, but usually that is always going to be the big things."
The people waiting in
line for Target's doors to open at Thursday night seemed to be waiting for
different deals. Jamie Andrews of Laughlin says, "I got here at 5:30. I am waiting for the dyson vacuum for
my-mother in-law, who I am informed by my husband, doesn't want the vacuum
anymore. So, I have been waiting out in this cold for nothing."
If there is limited
competition when it comes to shoppnig, then why wait? The answer is simple: the excitement. Andrews says "I love the adrenaline of
it. It's not even worth it, I just love
the adrenaline. I love the rush. I love
the people. I just love it." "I
love the excitement. Love the thrill,
love the excitement," says Mitchell.
Meanwhile, as that
adrenaline keeps them charged through the night, store associates say as long
as they stay sane, then most will stay happy hunters thoughout the Black Friday
bash. Gonzalez says "we are really
big on single file. Just relax, slow
down, and we will ask anyone to leave that is going to break those rules." Mitchell says "We're having a ball!
Definitely having a ball."
Many
of the stores, including Target, are staggering the deals in an effort to keep
a steady flow of shoppers in and out throughout the night.
