Sn Mountain Resort will be holding the annual winter job fair on Saturday, November 3rd. Sn Mountain is looking to fill over 500 positions. Schuylkill County Fairgrounds will host a Truck Pull Saturday, November 3rd. This year's event will feature three classes of diesel trucks. Classes are Stock Diesel - 8500 lb., Modified Diesel - 8000 lb. and Outlaw Diesel 8200 lb. The gas hogs hit the track with four classes. The classes are Classic Gas 6500 lb., Stock Gas 6800 lb., Modified Gas 6800 lb., and Outlaw Gas 6500 lb. Weigh in starts at 9AM and Pulls begin at 11AM. Ruth's Place is hosting their "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" Walk-A-Thon on November 4th, from 1-3pm. The walk will start in the Wilkes-Barre Public Square. The proceeds from last year's walk-a-thon provided the means for safe shelter for 276 women

An Election Day Spaghetti and Meatball Dinner will be held on Tuesday, November 6th at St. John Bosco Church Rt. 93 in Conyngham. The dinner will be served with salad bread dessert and coffee, tea, cold drinks.
Dinner will be served from 4 pm to 7 pm take out available. Proceeds benefit the Church Youth Group.

The Wilkes-Barre City Health Department has rescheduled Monday's canceled flu clinic due to Hurricane Sandy. The flu clinic will be held on Thursday, November 15, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m at the Kirby Health Center, 71 North Franklin Street.
The state health department recently transferred an additional 100 doses of flu vaccine to the Wilkes-Barre City Health Department that can be used to immunize any resident of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Area.
