.   On March 16th, Jill Evans Kryston and her business, Defining Manners, will conduct the following open enrollment classes at the Waverly Community House. Class 1: "Pass the Peas, Please" (for children ages 4 to 7) is an opportunity to put young children on the right path to polite table manners as they work through age-appropriate workbooks to learn beginner dining skills and behavior at the table. Coloring, drawing, and choosing the correct answers make this a fun class which includes such topics as napkin etiquette, identification and proper use of china, glassware and utensils, eating usual and unusual foods and so much more through demonstration and practice. After designing placemats and setting the table, children will practice their new skills over Danish and juice.

Class 2: "Dining Boot Camp for Kids" (for older children ages 8 to14) will teach them to polish their presence with table manners, dining skills, and polite table behavior. This fun class includes such topics as napkin etiquette, American and Continental styles of dining, eating usual and unusual foods, identification and proper use of china, glassware and utensils, anecdotes, historical perspective, jingles to remember important information, and much more. After designing placemats and setting the table, students will practice their new skills over Danish and juice. This class also includes take-home reference books.
