Tobyhanna, Monroe County-People across the country are bracing for massive spending cuts to kick in next Friday.
The cuts of more than a trillion dollars could cost thousands of people their jobs.
It could have a major impact on our region's largest employer, the Tobyhanna Army Depot.
If nothing changes, the Depot could lose about one - third of it's budget.
Hundreds of people could lose their jobs, and many more could be furloughed.
Some worry if many people in this region lose good-paying depot jobs. That may also impact spending in other areas of our economy.
There is still time to stop the automatic cuts.
Congress has voted to delay them before and could vote to do so again.
