THE CRANK OF THE THROTTLE...

IS ENOUGH TO GET YOUR HEART PUMPING.

THAT'S ONE OF THE THINGS THAT DRAWS 14 YEAR OLD COLBY KING TO THE SPORT.

"My dad raced he rode as a kid and he started racing and when I was four he got me a bike and I just rode at the track."

NOW WITH 10 YEARS RIDING EXPERIENCE KING HAS BEEN COMPETING IN ARENACROSS ALL OVER.

THIS WEEKEND HE FINALLY GETS A CHANCE TO COMPETE CLOSE TO HOME IN MOHEGAN SUN ARENA.

"I mean it's pretty cool, I got a lot of friends and family coming out since it's my home race and coming out to support me. I'm glad that I have friends and family that would come out to support me for that."

THIS IS MORE THAN A RACE FOR KING AS A GOOD PERFORMANCE COULD BOOST HIM TO NATIONALS IN LAS VEGAS.

"I mean to take that home it would be really cool. Everyone would be super proud of me and I would be proud of myself."

BUT TEENAGER KNOWS HE CAN'T GET AHEAD OF HIMSELF THIS WEEKEND IS THE LAST SPEEDBUMP BEFORE THE VAN CAN GAS UP FOR VEGAS.

"I'm pretty used to the setup of the tracks. I feel like I can go out there and win this weekend so looking forward to it."
