Hanover Township, Luzerne County--    Police say 24 year old Gregory Richards of Sugar Notch broke into and burglarized nine homes in the Nanticoke and Hanover Township Area. Nanticoke Police Chief Bill Shultz said, "Richards was spotted by a neighbor breaking into a home and he was taken into custody. We think he was involved in at least 9 break-ins."  Eyewitness News spoke to a man in Hanover Township whose home was burglarized. He said, "I am a very trusting man I leave my doors open but I guess you can't do that nowadays."  Richards father said his son has a heroin addiction and that's why he burglarized the homes looking for cash to support that addiction.
