Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County-- Daniel Loughnane of Hanover Township may be facing more charges connected to the hit and run death of 19 year old Rebecca McCallick of Wilkes-Barre. The Luzerne County District Attorney says Loughnane made threatening comments to his ex girlfriend and mother of his son, Jessica Spencer. Spencer is the prosecutions star witness against Loughnane. She testified that Loughnane was worried he was going to jail in connection with the hit and run. Loughnane was released on $50,000 bail and was told not to have contact with witnesses. District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis told Eyewitness News, "Mr. Loughnane can have limited contact with Miss Spencer to set up visits with his son. However, he made repeated phone calls to Miss Spencer leaving messages that violated his bail conditions." A bail revocation hearing is set for Thursday January 31 at 9 am at Penn Place. Salavantis did not rule out filing additional charges against Loughnane which could include witness tampering or intimidating a witness. Loughnane nor his Attorney could be reached for comment.
