Update: Wilkes-Barre Assault Victim Dies from Injuries

Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County-The elderly woman found badly injured in her home in South Wilkes-Barre back in December has died from her injuries.
69-year old Lorraine Stelma was found assaulted inside her home at 247 Horton Street.
Stelma died yesterday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center where she was being treated for severe brain injuries.
Her son, Mark was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for unrelated charges.
Police are continuing to investigate.
