Wilkes-Barre Township, Luzerne County-- Police say they're prepared to make an arrest following a stabbing Wednesday in one part of Luzerne County.

Charges were officially filed against 47-year-old Guy William Fox late Thursday morning.

The stabbing was reported around 5:30PM Wednesday along Company Row, just off Blackman Street, in Wilkes-Barre Township.

Police say a group of people was gathered near a trailer behind 6 Company Row when some sort of altercation led to that stabbing.

According to investigators, Fox stabbed 42-year-old Douglas Smith in the back near his right shoulder-- leaving the blade lodged in Smith's body.

Police say Smith and Fox knew each other previously.

Smith was taken to Geisinger Wyoming Valley where he underwent successful surgery Wednesday night.

He is expected to make a full recovery.

Anyone with information on Guy William Fox's whereabouts should call Wilkes-Barre Township police.
