Hazleton, Luzerne County-- Mayor Joe Yannuzzi insists there are no fantasy numbers in his budget only real hard numbers. Yannuzzi says there is not enough time to pass a budget by January first and that could mean a government shutdown. Yannuzzi said, "There will not be a spending plan no line items for the people to get paid. Where does Council think the money is going to come from some fantasy world?" Council majority say that cutbacks can be made and other revenue sources should be explored before any tax hike. Taxpayers like Steve Fuchs said, "I think they should shut the city down. I would sell my house if I could get a decent price and move out of state..that's where I am just about right now."
